'TAKE NINE' ROUNDEL SERIES
Nine variations referencing figurative forms - or not.......oil paint on gesso wood panels........ each wall-fixed with a stainless steel and plastic hub….. balanced, rotatable and finished with a stainless steel rim. each 600mm diameter.
The first of these paintings ‘Spectral’, ‘Cosmic’, ‘Sprung’ and ‘Hadron-Pohutukawa’ were prompted by the experience of eye cataract surgery……. then natural forms were explored and followed on, ending with ‘Kandi’ - the springboard to ‘11 Kosmickandi’…….
