TOM HUME

Thomas Mornington Hume was born 1942, in Stockton on Tees, England, and died unexpectedly on October 14th, 2023.

Independent of an agent’s direction or demands, Tom was free to explore his intellectual and physical experiences through his art. His paintings reflect his skill in applying a wide ranging approaches, from abstract colour compositions, to semi-figurative and figurative exploration of flora, fauna, landscape and people. 

He divided his life and work between England……..

Educated at Barnard Castle School, County Durham. England. (Tutor Douglas Pittuck). The Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art, Oxford University. England. (Tutor Percy Horton) and at Goldsmiths College, London University.
